Canada Day Cruise (June 30 to July 2, 2019)
2019 Canada Day Cruise to Sandy Cove and Trent Port Marina was attended by 10 boats in total. Participants were senior, associate and social members. Many boats met at Sandy Cove for Sunday night and were promptly invited to the Council Flats (Aka. “The Mother Ship”) for pre-dinner cocktails. A total of 15 people enjoyed a lovely evening of fun with friends. Thank you to Lee and Sharon for helping us kick off the cruising season.
After a calm night on anchor we sailed with brisk winds on our nose to Trent Port Marina where several other PYC boats were waiting for us. Around 10:00 pm we were dazzled with amazing Canada Day fireworks. The next morning (Tuesday) we all started for home through the Murray Canal, hoping the Brighton Bridge would be working. We all made it home safe and are eager to get back out onto the water again.
