Sponsored by the PYC power fleet, two power and four sailing yachts met at the Cobourg Marina for July 1st. It was a great weekend to be on dock enjoying all the Cobourg waterfront festival had to offer.
Some boats arrived 30 June aided by heavy wind with the last boat arriving on Canada day without wind.
We were all located close together on or in the vicinity of A dock – a prime location. Friday night saw an impromptu progressive hors d’oeuvres party moving from boat to boat with the evening ending with a spectacular fireworks display!
On Saturday families and couples took in Craft shows and the midway and enjoyed the plethora of international foods available at the festival. Saturday ended with comradery hosted by the Crowe’s on board “Suite H2O”.
Sunday saw the group break up and the first boats headed back to Brighton with the last leaving Monday. A great time was had by all!
