SUMMARY:Canada Day Trenton Cruise
DESCRIPTION:Hello Folks\, \nCanada Day is fast approaching. We have two options for this time.  \n  \n\nThe World Shark Races will be happening in Belleville. For any that would be interested in watching some racing or just extending the cruise we will plan on sailing to Sandy Cove for June 30th night and then jump on one boat ( or two) to go into Big Bay to watch the 50 boat Shark Races on the first. Then head back to Trent Port to watch the Canada Day Fireworks. \n\n  \n\nOption two is to arrive at Trent Port and stay there without coming to Sandy Cove.  You can also anchor out behind Indian Island if you don’t want to go to Trent Port. \n\n  \nSharon and Lee have once again offered to have a potluck and bbq at their place and then watch the fireworks from their yard. Please bring a chair for yourselves if you can.  \n  \nI ask you to please contact Trent Port Marina and book your own dock.  \nPlease let me know if you are planning on attending and how many people.  \nYou are also welcome to drive down and join us for the fireworks.  \nTrish

SUMMARY:Waupoos Cruise and Shirley Homer Race (on Aug 1)
DESCRIPTION:This is a pursuit race around Waupoos Island\, starting from Waupoos Marina\, with a staggered start. The boat with the highest handicap number starts first while the boat with the lowest handicap number starts last. The scratch boat starts at the lowering of the Start Flag (time 0) while all the other boats start with a time delay proportional to the difference in their PHRF handicap from the first or scratch boat. The time delay is measured from the lowering of the Start Flag.  \nThere will be one start with no attempt for a windward start. \nThis race is open to interested parties whether you have a current PHRF certificate or not. The race organizers will assign a PHRF handicap to those who do not already have one based on the type of boat. \nSkippers meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. with the start of the race at 1:00 p.m.  Please provide the requested information on the attached sign-up sheet by 9:30 to allow the organizers sufficient time to calculate the time differentials.  \nThere will be a “bring your own barbecue” at the marina Saturday evening starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Trophy presentation. \nFor more information\, see attached Notice of Race. \nPlease Note: \n·         Participants will need to make their own arrangements for dockage directly with Waupoos Marina by calling (613) 476-2926.  Dockage must be paid by credit card at time of booking.  The marina will make arrangements to accommodate the boats attending this event so mention that you are part of the Waupoos race group. \n·         There is a possibility that fuel will not be available at the marina.  We will provide any updates on this matter as soon as possible.
