At our June 8th Sailpast dinner Paavo Kivisto, Commodore, announced that Chuck Boyce was awarded posthumously Honourary Life Membership.
Rob Arbuckle had worked with our Board of Directors to nominate Chuck Boyce posthumously for this prestigious honour. As required by our By-Laws, the nomination was put forward for a vote (electronic) by the Club’s membership and it was announced at Sailpast that the Club voted unanimously in support of this nomination. Chuck served on the Executive of the club from 1996 to 2015 in various roles over his 16 years including: Harbourmaster, Vice Commodore & Rear Commodore of Sail. Chuck was hard working and committed to the Club and tireless in working for our collective good. Chuck’s name has been added to list of our honourary life members on this plaque. It will be mounted in the Founders Gazebo.
