On July 15 the 5 Club Tartan 30s met on the water for our second annual T30 regatta. The regatta format was 3 races on a windward, leeward, and windward finish course. The wind was 10 knots or less, with the third race being abandoned near the finish due to a complete lack of wind. The course provided us with much-needed spinnaker practice! To add more challenge and expose more club members to the T30, each boat had one regular crew member and the remaining crew was drawn from club member volunteers. In the end, each boat had a 4-person crew. It appears from the after-race get-together at the clubhouse that everyone enjoyed the event.
Many thanks to the race committee consisting of Kyle and Aaron Boyce, and Peter Shire who set up a great race course and ran an excellent regatta. They also took the pictures and videos in this post.
