Reciprocals

To the Officers and Members of Reciprocating Clubs:

The Commodore, Executive and members of the Presqu’ile Yacht Club are pleased to extend reciprocal privileges to all clubs offering similar privileges to our members. A list of clubs we believe are offering reciprocals can be found on our website at www.presquileyc.com.

Presqu’ile Yacht Club is a small self-help club located on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Presqu’ile Bay (N44.01.52 W77.42.77) approximately ½ kilometre east of the Harbourview Marina. Our policy offers the first night in a 7- day period free and we request a donation of $30.00 for each subsequent night.

To enter our club, follow the channel buoys leading to/from the Murray Canal.  At green buoy MP 11 turn northwest and, after a short distance, you will see the red and green pipe buoys marking the channel into the Club. We can generally accommodate boats up to 5’ draft and maximum length of 31’.

The service dock, where the mast crane is located, is reserved for visiting boaters on a first come first served basis. Other slips may be available if PYC members are away cruising. You can email harbourmaster@presquileyc.com to verify if a slip may be open in advance of your arrival. There is a sign-in book located in the clubhouse. If a member is present, you may be directed to a member’s dock or mooring if one is vacant. Please show your club membership card if a member is present and also note it in our book.

The clubhouse includes a full kitchen, washrooms and showers. Barbecues are also available. If a club member is present when you arrive, they will be pleased to assist you with any needs you may have. The clubhouse deck overlooks our harbour and offers a serene and picturesque view of the surrounding wetlands which is alive with waterfowl. The Club has bicycles available for visitors to access the restaurants that are nearby or to travel the 2½ km into town.  We look forward to you and your members visiting our club.

Please accept our best wishes for a safe and enjoyable boating season.

John Crowe Sr., Commodore                                 Terry Holland, Secretary
