On June 23 House chairman Don S organized a deck painting session and put out the call for highly skilled volunteers. Dave M, Allan D, Bob B, Rob A answered the call and the club house deck was given fresh coat of paint in time for the 50th anniversary weekend. The pictures show how great it now looks.
The clubs 50th anniversary year started off with the annual Sail Past and dinner which took place on June 11. The day’s festivities started at 1400hr with a skipper’s meeting organized by Vice Commodore Fred W. Next was the a flag raising ceremony/blessing of the fleet that was organized by Alan H and Steve T.

The boats are launched and now it is time to start thinking about Sailpast 2016. This year the event will start the clubs 50th season and to honor that we will be going a little more formal. There will be a blessing of the fleet and the events colour scheme will be navy and blue.
