Christmas Party 2016

The club’s annual Christmas Party was held on December 3 and what an event it turned out to be!  There was a capacity crowd and so much food that it would not all fit on the counter. The party also featured a draw for prizes consisting of gift baskets, club gear, and boat show tickets.  Draw tickets were sold with the proceeds to be donated to the cancer society.  As a result $390 was raised.

But wait, just as everyone was finishing their snacking, there appeared a heavenly choir to serenade the crowd with Christmas carols. The choir, consisting of angels Janet and Terry, were backed up the not so heavenly Rob and Fred. After singing several carols, they launched into the PYC rendition of 12 days of Christmas.  The lyrics are shown below but only cover 8 days.  Any ideas for the last 3 days?

And before anyone could blink, old St. Nick appeared to wish every one a Merry Christmas and get a big hug from the angels.  If I didn’t know any better I would say that Santa sounded a lot like Brad, but I know it was really Santa because I pulled his beard.

It was so nice to see such a good turnout for this event, which is the last big social event for the club’s 50th anniversary. A good time was had by all.  A big thank you goes to Janet, Paavo, Terry, and Dave and all their helpers for organizing such a fun event.

Merry Christmas to All
