This Saturday, August 16 the Around the County Race will once again be held. This race used to be an annual event that was last held in the 1990s. BQYC with help from CFBYC and PYC, is hosting the event. PYC’s JC and his committee boat crew will be starting the race at 1100 hr Saturday. The course will leave Scotch Bonnet to port, go around the county to the Upper Gap, and follow the Bay of Qunite to the finish line off Belleville. Boats must finish by 1800hr on Sunday.
Currently there are 11 boats entered into the race. I am proud that two of these vessels come from PYC. Please wish the crews of Summer Salt, skippered by Bob Boyce, and Hooligan, skippered by Tim Duffin the best of luck in this race.
